How to play Weirdlands on Mac
Game summary
Weirdlands is a single player RPG inspired by classics like Final Fantasy, Earthbound, Undertale, etc., but it's also very much its own thing. There is a big point&click slant. Your companions are spirits you recruit. You can play by the rules or go and destroy those rules.
The main thing will be exploration of the world and its lore, and interaction with your companions and NPCs you meet. It's a story that deals with freedom, control, exploitation and oppressive power structures.
If you don't like to grind you won't have to. But if you want, you can go and try to catch them all, and defeat all the optional bosses. There's a New Game+ for those who want even more.
Play Weirdlands on Mac with Parallels (virtualized)
The easiest way to play Weirdlands on a Mac is through Parallels, which allows you to virtualize a Windows machine on Macs. The setup is very easy and it works for Apple Silicon Macs as well as for older Intel-based Macs.
Parallels supports the latest version of DirectX and OpenGL, allowing you to play the latest PC games on any Mac. The latest version of DirectX is up to 20% faster.
Our favorite feature of Parallels Desktop is that when you turn off your virtual machine, all the unused disk space gets returned to your main OS, thus minimizing resource waste (which used to be a problem with virtualization).
