Game summary

Another pokemon fan game in the same vein as Pokemon Reborn and Rejuvenation. It is an attempt to make a more challenging experience for Pokemon fans with its own storyline.

Play Pokemon Desolation on Mac with Parallels (virtualized)

The easiest way to play Pokemon Desolation on a Mac is through Parallels, which allows you to virtualize a Windows machine on Macs. The setup is very easy and it works for Apple Silicon Macs as well as for older Intel-based Macs.

Parallels supports the latest version of DirectX and OpenGL, allowing you to play the latest PC games on any Mac. The latest version of DirectX is up to 20% faster.

Our favorite feature of Parallels Desktop is that when you turn off your virtual machine, all the unused disk space gets returned to your main OS, thus minimizing resource waste (which used to be a problem with virtualization).

🕹 Editor's notes

Fans created Pokemon Desolation after getting inspired by Pokemon Reborn and Rejuvenation. It is designed to be more challenging than the previous versions, and a lot darker.

The game’s main ideas revolve around deception and delusion. Unlike the previous Pokemon games, Desolation has a darker and more ambitious plot and has 13 gyms in total.

Plot

This game’s storyline starts with a trip to the Ayrith region with your friends, but you get separated due to a sudden gang war between two weird groups. The Ayrith is a massive land area that has been split into different islands, and you are thrown into one of them.

While all this is happening, you get stuck with a guy named Connor, with whom you have to partner up. The mission for both of you is to find your friends while trying to escape from the island’s natives.

Things get more confusing as you, the player character, meet two people looking for your support. One is a man who calls himself Shiv and claims to know you. The other person is a woman who has a dream of creating a utopian world.

Both these characters seem to have strange powers that defy the laws of nature. You need to make a choice and try to make your way out of the island.

Gameplay

You get to create your character in this game, after which you will set out on a journey with your friends to the Ayrith region. You will come across Shiv, Nova, Caron, Amelia, and Lilith here. You have to explore a lot in this game so that you will get many incentives in the form of Credits.

Exploration also unlocks better options for vital plot scenes and helps prevent a few bad outcomes. This game will confuse you with delusions, with the opening section being one of the most complex parts of the game. This is because of the lack of resources at your disposal.
