Game summary
Play Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age on Mac with Parallels (virtualized)
The easiest way to play Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age on a Mac is through Parallels, which allows you to virtualize a Windows machine on Macs. The setup is very easy and it works for Apple Silicon Macs as well as for older Intel-based Macs.
Parallels supports the latest version of DirectX and OpenGL, allowing you to play the latest PC games on any Mac. The latest version of DirectX is up to 20% faster.
Our favorite feature of Parallels Desktop is that when you turn off your virtual machine, all the unused disk space gets returned to your main OS, thus minimizing resource waste (which used to be a problem with virtualization).

🕹 Editor's notes
Final Fantasy Xii The Zodiac Age is a remastered version of the original Final Fantasy 12, with minor changes in enemy territories and the choice of merchant goods. It was released in 2017 for the PlayStation 4 and is also compatible with your PC and PS 2.
It is an RPG with an open world and a seamless battle system. The game lets you control the AI characters through an adaptable gambit system. The abilities of the characters you choose will be based on a licensing system.
The game also has side missions where you must battle and finish off mighty beasts in the open world.
Plot
The game revolves around the invasion of two kingdoms by the Archadians, who came and killed all the members of both royal families in the middle of a wedding between Princess Ashe and Prince Nasler.
When the invasion happened, the King of Dalmasca agreed to sign a treaty of surrender, only to be slain by a character called Basch.
After a couple of years, a certain man named Vaan secretly enters the palace and steals a powerful magical crystal. Everything shoots off from there, with many adventures and multiple characters that pop out in different phases of the game.
In the end, the thrones of the two kingdoms are taken by the rightful heirs, and Vaan goes off flying an airship for another adventure.
Gameplay
The gameplay is similar to other RPG games where you can take direct control of your character in the game. You communicate with the other characters in the game just as you would in person.
In the previous version, you could not turn around to get a complete view of your surroundings, but now you can with the right analog stick. You can use the 360-degree camera to have an all-round view.
You will be rewarded more if you slay enemies and monsters in this game.
