How to play Skipp and Friends on Mac

Game summary

Skipp and Friends - Unexpected Journey is a SNES homebrew (action-puzzle) game that was developed by Mukunda Johnson for the PDRoms Coding Competition (v4.01) in 2009. It came in 1st place out of 8 entries, but the original winning game was not made to work on an actual console. Piko Interactive later reaching out to Mukunda, and he agreed to fix the game and get it to work on the console. It then was released as part of Super 4 in 1 Multicart on December 14th, 2013. The objective of this game is to move all three characters to the EXIT in each level. Each character has 2 limited special abilities that you must use to solve a variety of puzzles. The in-game status bar displays the name of each ability and how many times it can be used during that level.
First released: Dec 2013

Play Skipp and Friends on Mac with Parallels (virtualized)

The easiest way to play Skipp and Friends on a Mac is through Parallels, which allows you to virtualize a Windows machine on Macs. The setup is very easy and it works for Apple Silicon Macs as well as for older Intel-based Macs.

Parallels supports the latest version of DirectX and OpenGL, allowing you to play the latest PC games on any Mac. The latest version of DirectX is up to 20% faster.

Our favorite feature of Parallels Desktop is that when you turn off your virtual machine, all the unused disk space gets returned to your main OS, thus minimizing resource waste (which used to be a problem with virtualization).
