This version is based on the arcade release with options for arcade style side panels on screen, a CRT display.
There is also an option to use the Joy-con like an arcade joystick, holding it vertically and tilting it for movement.
It includes the widescreen support and additional boss from the 3DS version of the game.
It also adds a new game mode where a support character protects the player from damage with barriers, though they get disabled for a time if the support character is attacked.

The easiest way to play SEGA AGES Space Harrier on a Mac is through Parallels, which allows you to virtualize a Windows machine on Macs. The setup is very easy and it works for Apple Silicon Macs as well as for older Intel-based Macs.

Step 2

When prompted, download and install Windows 10. The download is around 5.7GB. Make sure you give it all the permissions that it asks for.
Step 4
Once Windows is done installing, you are ready to go. All that’s left to do is install SEGA AGES Space Harrier like you would on any PC.
