How to play Realm of Impossibility on Mac

Game summary

Is a platform game in which the protagonist has to fight the titular monsters, snakes, spiders, and an array of other creatures in order to survive. The dungeons the hero must traverse make use of visual effects, similar to those found in M. C. Escher's work, to create physically impossible scenarios. These structures serve as a basis for puzzles which must be solved in-between the fighting in order to proceed. The game features a total of 13 dungeons with 129 different rooms. A cooperative mode with another player is also included.
First released: Dec 1983

Play Realm of Impossibility on Mac with Parallels (virtualized)

The easiest way to play Realm of Impossibility on a Mac is through Parallels, which allows you to virtualize a Windows machine on Macs. The setup is very easy and it works for Apple Silicon Macs as well as for older Intel-based Macs.

Parallels supports the latest version of DirectX and OpenGL, allowing you to play the latest PC games on any Mac. The latest version of DirectX is up to 20% faster.

Our favorite feature of Parallels Desktop is that when you turn off your virtual machine, all the unused disk space gets returned to your main OS, thus minimizing resource waste (which used to be a problem with virtualization).
