Game summary
The Destiny Limited Edition is a collector's edition of Destiny. The set is the first-tier physical limited edition version of Destiny and it will be released on September 9, 2014 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
The Limited Edition includes everything that's in the Ghost Edition minus the Ghost replica, letter of introduction and Golden Age Relics pack. The contents is as follows:
- Limited Edition SteelBook™ Case and Game Disc
- Guardian Folio, containing:
--“Arms and Armament” Field Guide: Many believe the weapons and armor featured in this record are a myth. You will learn the truth.
--Postcards from the Golden Age: Our worlds have been claimed by our enemies. Now, it’s time to take them back.
--Antique Star Chart: Explore the wild frontiers of our solar system. Discover all that we have lost.
Collector’s Edition Digital Content:
The City has provided you with a cache of items to start you on your journey, including:
- A Unique Ghost Casing
- An Exclusive Player Emblem

Destiny Expansion Pass
- The Destiny Limited Edition also includes the Destiny Expansion Pass.
Vanguard Armory
- As an added incentive to pre-order, players will gain early access to the Vanguard Armory which includes nine weapons, three helmets and an emblem. According to the Bungie, these items will be attainable through gameplay for those that choose not to pre-order.

Play Destiny - Limited Edition on Mac with Parallels (virtualized)
The easiest way to play Destiny - Limited Edition on a Mac is through Parallels, which allows you to virtualize a Windows machine on Macs. The setup is very easy and it works for Apple Silicon Macs as well as for older Intel-based Macs.
Parallels supports the latest version of DirectX and OpenGL, allowing you to play the latest PC games on any Mac. The latest version of DirectX is up to 20% faster.
Our favorite feature of Parallels Desktop is that when you turn off your virtual machine, all the unused disk space gets returned to your main OS, thus minimizing resource waste (which used to be a problem with virtualization).
Destiny - Limited Edition installation steps for Mac
Step 1
Go to Parallels.com and download the latest version of the software.
Step 2
Follow the installation process and make sure you allow Parallels in your Mac’s security preferences (it will prompt you to do so).
Step 3
When prompted, download and install Windows 10. The download is around 5.7GB. Make sure you give it all the permissions that it asks for.
Step 4
Once Windows is done installing, you are ready to go. All that’s left to do is install Destiny - Limited Edition like you would on any PC.
