How to play Dead Pixels II: Straight to Video on Mac
Game summary
In 1983 the city of New Hexington was destroyed after a chemical spill caused the dead to come back to life. By 1987 the whole of America had succumbed to the T.O.X.I.N. virus.
Welcome to 1991.
The long awaited follow up to Dead Pixels comes straight to home video with all the new features you could ever want.
Dead Pixels II is a side scrolling, randomly generated shooter, with RPG elements, 1-4 player co-op, a VHS filter and a whole city full of shambling corpses.
Play Dead Pixels II: Straight to Video on Mac with Parallels (virtualized)
The easiest way to play Dead Pixels II: Straight to Video on a Mac is through Parallels, which allows you to virtualize a Windows machine on Macs. The setup is very easy and it works for Apple Silicon Macs as well as for older Intel-based Macs.
Parallels supports the latest version of DirectX and OpenGL, allowing you to play the latest PC games on any Mac. The latest version of DirectX is up to 20% faster.
Our favorite feature of Parallels Desktop is that when you turn off your virtual machine, all the unused disk space gets returned to your main OS, thus minimizing resource waste (which used to be a problem with virtualization).
