Play Crossfire: Legion on Mac with Parallels (virtualized)

The easiest way to play Crossfire: Legion on a Mac is through Parallels, which allows you to virtualize a Windows machine on Macs. The setup is very easy and it works for Apple Silicon Macs as well as for older Intel-based Macs.

Parallels supports the latest version of DirectX and OpenGL, allowing you to play the latest PC games on any Mac. The latest version of DirectX is up to 20% faster.

Our favorite feature of Parallels Desktop is that when you turn off your virtual machine, all the unused disk space gets returned to your main OS, thus minimizing resource waste (which used to be a problem with virtualization).

Step 2
Follow the installation process and make sure you allow Parallels in your Mac’s security preferences (it will prompt you to do so).

Step 4
Once Windows is done installing, you are ready to go. All that’s left to do is install Crossfire: Legion like you would on any PC.

🕹 Editor's notes

The free-to-play, fast-paced, Real-Time strategy (RTS) game Crossfire Legion is definitely worth all the hype. Blackbird Interactive has come a long way in creating this masterpiece for you and me to play tactical combat against other players in a world from the future that appears to be shattered.

The game lets you choose from three different factions and customize or raise armies that you can use to play 15 campaign modes with or have intense face-paced online battles with other players.

It is almost identical to its predecessors like Command and Conquer or Starcraft which have dominated the RTS world for years.

However, even though it is somewhat identical, which is expected of an RTS game, the remarkable thing about Crossfire Legion is that it gives you a sense of accomplishment with its type of deckbuilding feature.

This means playing matches against other players online or trashing bots lets you unlock new characters or units that you can add to your faction. Doesn’t that rile you up aggressively to be more competitive?

Moving on, the gameplay of Crossfire Legion involves a high level of thinking to overcome our enemies with troops such as fighters, tanks, special soldiers with special hi-teach weapons and mechs that you need to carefully and strategically have deployed to win.

The Starcraft-style intense skirmish battle is seen throughout the multiplayer mode, where you go against other players online.

You can also choose from different types of weapons seen as real-life models, all in their categories, including machine guns, sniper rifles, and assault rifles.

Is the graphics visually captivating enough?

It is somewhat disappointing to see people hating the game, since Crossfire Legend has one of the most high-quality visuals and graphics you’ve ever seen.

You can see the incredible detail and effects when firing weapons and explosives that make it look even more fantastic.

 Wrapping up

Bringing memories and emotions of when RTS games were top-rated and thriving, Blackbird Interactive has outdone themselves with this. The old fun, fast-paced tactical combat will have you craving for more and be competitive.

Even though the game is extraordinarily well crafted, it is still in its early stages and has the potential to grow into something far better. Will you give it a chance?
