How to play BioShock Challenge Rooms on Mac

Game summary

This exclusive Playstation 3 add-on for BioShock includes three different challenge rooms in different locations from the main storyline which are introduced with a comic book cover done by Sander Cohen in the style of 1950s EC Comics. The 'I' in Team is set on the Rapture Firing Range and involves trying to defeat a Big Daddy without any weapons or offensive Plasmids. A Shocking Turn of Events is set on a Ferris wheel and involves rescuing a Little Sister who is stuck at the top. Without using the Electro Bolt, you must activate the Ferris wheel controls using different weapons and Gene Tonics. Instant Piano Prodigy is a new Tonic that can also be found. Worlds of Hurt takes place in a series of combat rooms with different enemies. Clear a room to win money and ADAM so you can buy new ammo and Plasmids. A new Game+ mode also lets you replay the main game with any abilities, inventory, and weapons that you collected previously. There are 12 new trophies to acquire.
First released: Nov 2008

Play BioShock Challenge Rooms on Mac with Parallels (virtualized)

The easiest way to play BioShock Challenge Rooms on a Mac is through Parallels, which allows you to virtualize a Windows machine on Macs. The setup is very easy and it works for Apple Silicon Macs as well as for older Intel-based Macs.

Parallels supports the latest version of DirectX and OpenGL, allowing you to play the latest PC games on any Mac. The latest version of DirectX is up to 20% faster.

Our favorite feature of Parallels Desktop is that when you turn off your virtual machine, all the unused disk space gets returned to your main OS, thus minimizing resource waste (which used to be a problem with virtualization).
