How to play Benefactor on Mac

Game summary

After two hugely successful pinball games, DICE ventured into new territory with the Amiga game Benefactor. In this cutesy puzzle platformer, you play the character Ben E. Factor, who has resigned from the military to become an all-around good guy. Factor’s mission is to save a group of “Merry Men” who have been kidnapped from their home planet and imprisoned over 60 tricky levels. The player has to carefully navigate through the puzzle levels and release the Merry Men in the correct order so they can help rescue the rest of the prisoners.
First released: Dec 1994

Play Benefactor on Mac with Parallels (virtualized)

The easiest way to play Benefactor on a Mac is through Parallels, which allows you to virtualize a Windows machine on Macs. The setup is very easy and it works for Apple Silicon Macs as well as for older Intel-based Macs.

Parallels supports the latest version of DirectX and OpenGL, allowing you to play the latest PC games on any Mac. The latest version of DirectX is up to 20% faster.

Our favorite feature of Parallels Desktop is that when you turn off your virtual machine, all the unused disk space gets returned to your main OS, thus minimizing resource waste (which used to be a problem with virtualization).
