Gameplay
The game looks similar to previous versions of IIDX from TRICORO. However, if you haven’t touched IIDX since Lincle, reading up on the alterations in TRICORO will be helpful. You can also check out the options menu and high speeds at a minimum.
You can buy all UI customization elements with BITS on the e-Amusement Shop. The setting is done through the Customize link under the DJ DATA menu, which can be replaced whenever your account is active.
Modes
There are two modes in Beatmania IIDX Infinitas – Standard and Class. The Standard Mode is similar to Free Mode in the previous versions. There is no limit to the number of attempts you can have on a song, and you can play the same song continuously without any restrictions on the difficulty levels.
The Class Mode has courses for singles and doubles players from 7th Kyu to Kaiden. You need to use one play ticket for every attempt in this mode. There are only achievement rewards and bragging rights for obtaining a high rank in this game.
Rival Challenges
Other players add you as rivals and challenge you to beat specific EX scores. You can also issue a rival challenge to another player on your active list by beating your current best score and the rival’s best score.
Once you accomplish those two obstacles, your rivals that rank lower than you will receive your score so that they can try to beat your challenge.
