Game summary

America's Toughest 18 is a golf game that instead of offering several real courses, includes the hardest 18 holes on the continent (according to the developers, who included some background description and videos of each hole). Each number corresponds to the order in the real course. It has the usual modes, such as Strokeplay, Matchplay, Stableford, Tournament and Skins, two swing methods (hold, release, click and triple click) with three difficulty levels and the usual options such as fade or draw the ball. It is possible to edit and create new golfers, although options are limited to selecting one of six digitized animations, the shirt colour, swing method and difficulty and the starting tee.
First released: Dec 2000

Play America's Toughest 18 on Mac with Parallels (virtualized)

The easiest way to play America's Toughest 18 on a Mac is through Parallels, which allows you to virtualize a Windows machine on Macs. The setup is very easy and it works for Apple Silicon Macs as well as for older Intel-based Macs.

Parallels supports the latest version of DirectX and OpenGL, allowing you to play the latest PC games on any Mac. The latest version of DirectX is up to 20% faster.

Our favorite feature of Parallels Desktop is that when you turn off your virtual machine, all the unused disk space gets returned to your main OS, thus minimizing resource waste (which used to be a problem with virtualization).
