Play Unravel Two on Mac with Parallels (virtualized)

The easiest way to play Unravel Two on a Mac is through Parallels, which allows you to virtualize a Windows machine on Macs. The setup is very easy and it works for Apple Silicon Macs as well as for older Intel-based Macs.

Parallels supports the latest version of DirectX and OpenGL, allowing you to play the latest PC games on any Mac. The latest version of DirectX is up to 20% faster.

Our favorite feature of Parallels Desktop is that when you turn off your virtual machine, all the unused disk space gets returned to your main OS, thus minimizing resource waste (which used to be a problem with virtualization).

The perfect game for two?

The new and improved Unravel Two is hands down one of the best co-op experiences in the game world today.

It is a combination of storytelling and puzzle-matching wonder, which can sometimes be demanding but for someone who loves the challenge? It is an excellent, more accomplished game that does the job right.

Speaking of challenging, you also have the option to play the whole game or the entire story mode as a solo player without ever feeling that you are at a significant disadvantage.

When you grind solo, the characters form a single multi-colored character, and the characters switch along the way.

The addition of the second Yarny in Unravel Two changes all the existing powers or abilities you can use, adding more depth to it.

The Co-op play can be stressful but funny at times since coordination is the key between players because you'll be swinging across somewhat impassable gaps together or jumping at the right time while other Yarny anchors you.

When in doubt or if you get stuck, Unravel two has added a hint system that appears in the middle of the screen so you can rest easy.

There are 7 gorgeous levels, each containing 20-30 minutes of challenging tasks you need to complete. Not forgetting the game's urban setting is immensely visually captivating for anyone, which is a plus point.

Also, you'll notice that behind the Yarny unfolds an uncertain story showing two teenagers escaping from, in my guess, a care home, going on an adventure. It certainly adds a mysterious vibe to it.

The verdict

Unravel Two has significantly upgraded from the last one in all aspects. While the story could have more depth, it is undoubtedly one of the best co-op experiences.

The game is brilliantly made to test your abilities while being somewhat considerate. Filled with challenging levels, whether you are trying to play it solo or co-op, and the creators have indeed made this into one of the most enjoyable games to play. Are you up for the challenge?
