Play Saya no Uta on Mac with Parallels (virtualized)
The easiest way to play Saya no Uta on a Mac is through Parallels, which allows you to virtualize a Windows machine on Macs. The setup is very easy and it works for Apple Silicon Macs as well as for older Intel-based Macs.
Parallels supports the latest version of DirectX and OpenGL, allowing you to play the latest PC games on any Mac. The latest version of DirectX is up to 20% faster.
Our favorite feature of Parallels Desktop is that when you turn off your virtual machine, all the unused disk space gets returned to your main OS, thus minimizing resource waste (which used to be a problem with virtualization).

🕹 Editor's notes
The intentions were clear, Saya No Uta- The Song of Saya, the erotic horror visual novel game originally written by Urobuchi Gen and developed by Nitroplus, is one of the most despicable games you'll ever get to witness.
The Visual Novel was released in 2003 and has also gained popularity among people from the niche. If you don't have the stomach for dark visual novels containing blood, murder, rape, cannibalism, and gore or are not comfortable with adult scenes, that may not be considered normal. I suggest you stay away from this game.
That said, Saya No Uta sets an example for all visual novels with feats they are destined to achieve.
Plot
Fuminori Sakisaka is the unfortunate protagonist of this game. He is a medical student that got into a tragic accident that led to the death of both his parents and left him with severe brain damage.
He wakes up from his coma with an unusual mental illness that takes him to this delusional state where he sees everything around him as a combination of guts, cartilage, and blood. You can also see that from Sakisaka's point of view, he sees people around him as monsters that he is terrified of.
To his salvation, he meets a strange girl named Saya, the only one that appears normal to him, and they develop a deep bond. The story contains various interesting characters, and they all play a role.
Gameplay
While the game has a very interesting plot, it is quite short, and there are only two interactive choices throughout the game. However, the two choices they offer have a major impact in altering a massive portion of the game, and it also has to do with how the game ends.
The protagonist makes the first choice, and the second choice is from the POV of his rival, so instead of playing the game from the perspective of a character, you get to feel like you are writing since you have the power to choose where the story is headed.
