Dynasty Warriors 5 Xtreme Legends is an extended version of the original Dynasty Warriors 5 video game. It is available to play on the PlayStation 2 and Xbox. You need the game disc of the original DW5 to be able to play various modes, like the Free Mode.
There are various modes in the game, some of which have been integrated from the previous versions of the game’s series. However, the new addition to the game is Destiny Mode, where you have to create your own character before joining other kingdoms.
Plot
The game’s plot takes us back to Ancient China, where feudal lords ruled the country for an extended period. During this period, these lords wanted to take control of all the lands and establish supremacy.
It is based on the Romance of The Three Kingdoms, an ancient Chinese fiction that narrates stories of different factions going to war against one another to control the area of the former Han Dynasty.
The game includes many mighty warriors who go and fight against tons of enemies to protect their lands.
Gameplay
Dynasty Warriors 5 Xtreme Legends has added new features to the game, like Destiny Mode and Xtreme Mode. The game also features around 18 new unique battles.
The Xtreme Mode is all about self-survival for as long as possible. You get to skip the storyline in this mode and go on missions where you fight enemies. These missions will be a journey to upgrade your weapons and defense.
However, the latest mode to feature in this game is Destiny Mode. You can create your own character in this mode and rise through the ranks. The character creation involves choosing sex, hairstyle and face, build, voice, and weapon.
The camera angles are the only downside to this game, the whole series. After 5 seasons, the developers haven’t still addressed the viewing issues.
