Game summary
Play The Fruit of Grisaia on Mac with Parallels (virtualized)
The easiest way to play The Fruit of Grisaia on a Mac is through Parallels, which allows you to virtualize a Windows machine on Macs. The setup is very easy and it works for Apple Silicon Macs as well as for older Intel-based Macs.
Parallels supports the latest version of DirectX and OpenGL, allowing you to play the latest PC games on any Mac. The latest version of DirectX is up to 20% faster.
Our favorite feature of Parallels Desktop is that when you turn off your virtual machine, all the unused disk space gets returned to your main OS, thus minimizing resource waste (which used to be a problem with virtualization).

🕹 Editor's notes
Developed by Frontwing, the Fruit of Grisaia is the company's first in the series of light novels. It was mostly welcomed with positive reviews for its narrative and engaging plotline.
It was released in 2011 for Windows and was later ported to the PlayStation Vita and PlayStation Portable. The light novel series also spawned manga and even anime adaptations.
Gameplay
In The Fruit Of Griasia, you take on the role of Yuji Kazami. Like every other visual novel, most of the gameplay is spent on the narrative. You walk through the story through dialogues and choose the options that will progress the story.
The gameplay features branching storylines, with the main character having to choose between multiple heroines. Your decisions throughout the game will affect which ending you will end up with. In traditional light novel fashion, players will have to replay the game several times to get different endings.
Plot
The premise of the light novel is fairly simple; you play Yuji Kazami, who transfers to Mihama Academy. He finds that there are only five female students in the whole school, and the school itself has prison-like features.
As he tries to maintain his distance from his fellow students because he wants to live normal student life, he gets roped in regardless, and that's where your story begins.
