How to play The Final Struggle on Mac

Game summary

This intro to the Napoleonic Battles series is a snippet of the content covered in Campaign Waterloo. We chose this content because it represented some good focused actions allowing players to get into the meat of the combat model of the game engine. While it covers that nicely it does not do the “scope” of one of our titles justice. What is meant by that is a Napoleonic Battles game does not just cover a specific battle, but rather an entire campaign. And in some cases multiple campaigns. Huge maps are the norm with usually scores of battles to choose from. This free demo will allow you to get your feet wet and determine if you want to take a further dive.

Play The Final Struggle on Mac with Parallels (virtualized)

The easiest way to play The Final Struggle on a Mac is through Parallels, which allows you to virtualize a Windows machine on Macs. The setup is very easy and it works for Apple Silicon Macs as well as for older Intel-based Macs.

Parallels supports the latest version of DirectX and OpenGL, allowing you to play the latest PC games on any Mac. The latest version of DirectX is up to 20% faster.

Our favorite feature of Parallels Desktop is that when you turn off your virtual machine, all the unused disk space gets returned to your main OS, thus minimizing resource waste (which used to be a problem with virtualization).
