Play Rollcage on Mac with Parallels (virtualized)

The easiest way to play Rollcage on a Mac is through Parallels, which allows you to virtualize a Windows machine on Macs. The setup is very easy and it works for Apple Silicon Macs as well as for older Intel-based Macs.

Parallels supports the latest version of DirectX and OpenGL, allowing you to play the latest PC games on any Mac. The latest version of DirectX is up to 20% faster.

Our favorite feature of Parallels Desktop is that when you turn off your virtual machine, all the unused disk space gets returned to your main OS, thus minimizing resource waste (which used to be a problem with virtualization).

🕹 Editor's notes

The action-packed racing video game Rollcage by Attention To Detail (ATD) lets you choose between high-speed cars and a bunch of weapons with great tracks. To top it off, it gives you several game modes to replenish your thirst for heavy-duty combat racing.

The game offers you competitive but fair gameplay and incredible visuals of different effects throughout the race. Rollcage also lets you smash into anything that dares to get in your way. From objects like signs, grid lights, barricades, and columns that help take down buildings to slow your opponents.

Gameplay

As the name of the developer suggests, ATD is fond of great attention to detail, and he likes the over-the-top effects and weapons of mass destruction, so you get to choose from various deadly weapons to head into the race with while enjoying the effects of crashing and lightning that is very detailed and visually captivating.

The game also lets you choose your devious character and the option to choose from several great cars, each with different characteristics, then go head-to-head with several other cars or play multiplayer mode that can handle 6 players if you decide to join a network or 4 players locally in a split screen mode.

As you go through the race, you get powerups that give you different advantages over other players. All you have to do is get familiar with all the powerups to use or disregard whenever.

Even though you get hit with all kinds of weapons or slam yourself into a wall, the cars are indestructible, and the only valuable thing that all these powerups do is slow your opponent. However, it's great for the visuals.

The game offers various types of racing events, including a championship mode that scores points and helps players open up new roads or circuits and a head-to-head play where you can play the game with a friend in a split screen mode.
