Players can choose to play in the challenging Stanley Cup Playoffs or dive into a full-fledged season of ice-hockey action. Moreover, there's also the shoot-out mode and a tournament mode which you can fully customize into four difficulty settings. 

Finally, you can create your player and sign him up for your favorite team. Now, it's only a matter of developing his skills with each gradual game until he's eventually ready to become the alpha player on the ice. 

Gameplay

The gameplay is smooth and simple, and the controls are easy enough for kids and adults alike. Figuring out how to skate, pass, shoot, and score a goal comes quite instinctively to the players and can be easily achieved. 

Players who like developing a more technical gameplay strategy will be impressed by how the mechanics handle finer techniques. Cannon shots, Spin-o-ramas, and the electrifying super dekes that charge up the game. Are you sure we're not in Canada?

How your horse performs will depend on what kind of training you give it and how well you typically take care of it. 

Gameplay:

For the most part, the game relies heavily on conversational sequences where there's a lot of decision-making to do. As the horse owner, it's your job to ensure your animal gets the best facilities and training. You will be able to keep track of your horse's stats and performance records which should motivate you to train harder. 

Fans of the franchise will be pleased to see a new bonding feature introduced in this version. Rather than developing bonds between humans and horses, Winning post 9 focuses on horse-to-hose bonding. It's an exciting new addition and opens some incredible avenues for the player.
