How to play Nebs on Mac

Game summary

Nebs is an arcade game for the Atari 8-bit computer. The player controls a small arrow, which can move in the four cardinal directions, and must shoot at and eliminate alien nebs. These enemies move unfailingly towards the player, and speed up as more of their brethren are eliminated. The player can set the number of lives they start with from 1 - 5, and can set which wave they initiate on. When all 20 nebs are eliminated, the player progresses to a more difficult challenge.
First released: Dec 1983

Play Nebs on Mac with Parallels (virtualized)

The easiest way to play Nebs on a Mac is through Parallels, which allows you to virtualize a Windows machine on Macs. The setup is very easy and it works for Apple Silicon Macs as well as for older Intel-based Macs.

Parallels supports the latest version of DirectX and OpenGL, allowing you to play the latest PC games on any Mac. The latest version of DirectX is up to 20% faster.

Our favorite feature of Parallels Desktop is that when you turn off your virtual machine, all the unused disk space gets returned to your main OS, thus minimizing resource waste (which used to be a problem with virtualization).
