How to play JellyBugs on Mac

Game summary

JellyBugs is an innovative game created for people who like fast and fun arcade games. The challenge is simple - analiate the fast randomly moving, pink creatures, but it’s not as easy as you think. There are an ever increasing number of other creatures flying around the screen and if you kill the wrong colour, it’s game over. The graphics are bright and colourful. The sounds are equally whacky and all together it’s a highly addictive game where time will fly. The main obstacles are green bugs. Hitting them results in lost time. Also the yellow bugs shatter. When you hit them they will partially cover the screen. There are several types of pink bugs In the game - pinkBugs, fatBugs and mutantBugs. PinkBug is the easiest to destroy, and it disappears after just one strike. The FatBug must be hit three times to disappear. The MutantBag constantly changes its form, and can only be destroyed when it's in a pink state. Hitting 2 pink bugs simultaneosly is rewarded. If you hit a pink specialbug, all the other pinks will freeze for a moment, making them an easy target. The key is not to hit greens - if you do, time will accelerate. The special Green Bug stops game time progress for a while. The colourful, graphics and crazy, surprising bugs make the game very enjoyable. The three game modes - easy, normal and hard allow you to select the difficulty level.

Play JellyBugs on Mac with Parallels (virtualized)

The easiest way to play JellyBugs on a Mac is through Parallels, which allows you to virtualize a Windows machine on Macs. The setup is very easy and it works for Apple Silicon Macs as well as for older Intel-based Macs.

Parallels supports the latest version of DirectX and OpenGL, allowing you to play the latest PC games on any Mac. The latest version of DirectX is up to 20% faster.

Our favorite feature of Parallels Desktop is that when you turn off your virtual machine, all the unused disk space gets returned to your main OS, thus minimizing resource waste (which used to be a problem with virtualization).
