Game summary
What is EM-8ER? (pronounced Ember):
EM-8ER is a multiplayer, open world, co-op shooter that pits players against a ruthless, shape-shifting, alien army called the Tsi-Hu. The game is a simulated war where massive battles ebb and flow across the planets surface. Hundreds of players will be fighting at any given time in skirmishes involving mechs, giant monsters, and military bases. EM-8ER combines high action, 1st and 3rd person shooting with crafting and RTS-like elements in a vast open world. We call this genre: Massive Planetary Wargame.
Play Em-8ER on Mac with Parallels (virtualized)
The easiest way to play Em-8ER on a Mac is through Parallels, which allows you to virtualize a Windows machine on Macs. The setup is very easy and it works for Apple Silicon Macs as well as for older Intel-based Macs.
Parallels supports the latest version of DirectX and OpenGL, allowing you to play the latest PC games on any Mac. The latest version of DirectX is up to 20% faster.
Our favorite feature of Parallels Desktop is that when you turn off your virtual machine, all the unused disk space gets returned to your main OS, thus minimizing resource waste (which used to be a problem with virtualization).
