Play Elsword on Mac with Parallels (virtualized)

The easiest way to play Elsword on a Mac is through Parallels, which allows you to virtualize a Windows machine on Macs. The setup is very easy and it works for Apple Silicon Macs as well as for older Intel-based Macs.

Parallels supports the latest version of DirectX and OpenGL, allowing you to play the latest PC games on any Mac. The latest version of DirectX is up to 20% faster.

Our favorite feature of Parallels Desktop is that when you turn off your virtual machine, all the unused disk space gets returned to your main OS, thus minimizing resource waste (which used to be a problem with virtualization).

Step 2
Follow the installation process and make sure you allow Parallels in your Mac’s security preferences (it will prompt you to do so).
Step 3
When prompted, download and install Windows 10. The download is around 5.7GB. Make sure you give it all the permissions that it asks for.
Step 4
Once Windows is done installing, you are ready to go. All that’s left to do is install Elsword like you would on any PC.

Is Elsword still an excellent game to play?

If you don't know what Elsword is, this free-to-play side-scrolling online MMORPG game with intense action-based combat has been around since 2007 and is still alive and kicking well. It is also one of the most played multiplayer games in South Korea and many other countries.

Moving on, the concept of the game is pretty straightforward and simple. Elsword and his teammates, Rena and Aisha, set on a journey filled with adventures in search of the EL.

You can pick dungeons to explore, and the objective is to clear those dungeons crawling with different types of creatures and, in the end, defeat each end bosses that live inside all the dungeons to claim the loot.

You can choose from an option of thirteen playable characters with distinct back stories, personalities, abilities, and fighting modes.

As you guessed, the fighting in Elsword will get you riled up with different kinds of combinations of heavy attacks and light attacks that do intense damage (if you get it right) and have mind-boggling effects, each different depending on the characters and class that you choose from.

You can also choose from three job paths with all the characters, while the character Rose comes with four job paths. The whole game is a masterpiece since you can play the PVP and the player versus enemy modes and even purchase costumes and items using real money.

Since this is an MMORPG game, there are guilds you can join that lets you chill with your mates, chat around, trade stuff, and do all kinds of exciting things you expect to do in a guild.

So, is Elsword still an excellent game to play? That's a hard yes from us. Even though the game is old, the anime-style graphic is gorgeous and still a visual most players prefer. Plus, you don't need much to run the game.

You can play it on an average pc using a keyboard and a mouse or a console and get invested in it.
