Play Chunithm Paradise Lost on Mac with Parallels (virtualized)

The easiest way to play Chunithm Paradise Lost on a Mac is through Parallels, which allows you to virtualize a Windows machine on Macs. The setup is very easy and it works for Apple Silicon Macs as well as for older Intel-based Macs.

Parallels supports the latest version of DirectX and OpenGL, allowing you to play the latest PC games on any Mac. The latest version of DirectX is up to 20% faster.

Our favorite feature of Parallels Desktop is that when you turn off your virtual machine, all the unused disk space gets returned to your main OS, thus minimizing resource waste (which used to be a problem with virtualization).

🕹 Editor's notes

Ever tried going to a music arcade before? If not, you will have a reason to once you learn about Paradise Lost– the new and improved 12th addition to the Chunithm series, which is an innovative music rhythm game.

This game has more added music, so you have more exciting options than in previous versions.

It had gained massive popularity since early 2021 when Sega introduced this game to the Chunithm machines at Japanese arcades. Today, the game is also available for international players, particularly in the eastern Pacific regions.

Gameplay And Features

Chunithm’s rhythm games focus on producing rhythms to preinstalled music. Simply put, Paradise Lost (or any other game in the series) is like an upgraded arcade version of Piano Tiles.

In the latter, you tap on the tiles that appear on your device screen to produce music. But the former lets you produce the rhythms while the machine plays the music.

The game features a keyboard-like screen at hip level on which you tap as bars of rhythm approach you. You start slow, and as you progress and score higher, the rhythms and music become more complex.

This game demands heightened alertness; you must keep an eye on the bars as the speed increases and decreases depending on which part of the song you’re in.

And even if you lose, you can save your pride because you haven’t lost to another player– you just missed your high score!

Should You Play It?

If you’re a fan of arcade games, you know that the games are so much better when there’s a slightly higher ratio of having fun to winning. Everything from the environment to the stimulation of producing exciting music makes it so much better than most other arcade music games.

Despite its somewhat simple plot, you should probably try Chunithm Paradise Lost if you ever visit an arcade, especially one in Japan.
