How to play Bitsturbed on Mac

Game summary

Bitsturbed is an old-school, action-driven, sci-fi, single-player first person shooter. Think health bar with health pickups, fast paced combat, shotguns, rocket launchers, exploding barrels and a mass of other retro mechanics in a mix of 2D and 3D FPS action! Released for Windows (7, 8 and 10). With all Art, Programming and Design done by one man, me! Music done by a friend of mine, Scott Hunter. The art for Bitsturbed has a number of influences, some legitimately retro (Megaman, Duke3D, Doom1+2), but also more modern games with retro themes ('The adventures of Square' being one awesome example). The final game aims to be about an hour long, for an average playthrough.

Play Bitsturbed on Mac with Parallels (virtualized)

The easiest way to play Bitsturbed on a Mac is through Parallels, which allows you to virtualize a Windows machine on Macs. The setup is very easy and it works for Apple Silicon Macs as well as for older Intel-based Macs.

Parallels supports the latest version of DirectX and OpenGL, allowing you to play the latest PC games on any Mac. The latest version of DirectX is up to 20% faster.

Our favorite feature of Parallels Desktop is that when you turn off your virtual machine, all the unused disk space gets returned to your main OS, thus minimizing resource waste (which used to be a problem with virtualization).
