How to play Arcade Archives WILD WESTERN on Mac

Game summary

It's time for the sheriff to get on his horse and race across the wild western frontier to take down the outlaws! WILD WESTERN is an action game released by TAITO in 1982. Play as a horse-riding sheriff to deal justice with your pistol to the outlaws attacking you from all directions. There are even battles atop the roof of a train. Leap off your horse onto the roof of the train without falling, and shoot down the bad guys before they take over the train! The "Arcade Archives" series has faithfully reproduced many classic Arcade masterpieces. Players can change various game settings such as game difficulty, and also reproduce the atmosphere of arcade display settings at that time. Players can also compete against each other from all over the world with their high scores.
First released: Jun 2019

Play Arcade Archives WILD WESTERN on Mac with Parallels (virtualized)

The easiest way to play Arcade Archives WILD WESTERN on a Mac is through Parallels, which allows you to virtualize a Windows machine on Macs. The setup is very easy and it works for Apple Silicon Macs as well as for older Intel-based Macs.

Parallels supports the latest version of DirectX and OpenGL, allowing you to play the latest PC games on any Mac. The latest version of DirectX is up to 20% faster.

Our favorite feature of Parallels Desktop is that when you turn off your virtual machine, all the unused disk space gets returned to your main OS, thus minimizing resource waste (which used to be a problem with virtualization).
